Svitlana Oslavska is a Ukrainian journalist, writer, and cultural researcher. She works in a genre of literary reportage and is the author of several books, including one about her hometown, the city of Siverskodonetsk, which is currently occupied by Russia. Her recent book, On Their Own Skin (2025) focuses on the ordinary people’s experiences of the Russian occupation of Ukraine and is based on testimonies from witnesses to Russia’s war crimes.

Oslavska is also a co-founder of a documentary collective old khata project old khata project that works with the topics of Ukrainian rural architecture and traditional culture and publishes books. Her work has been featured in Ukrainian and international news outlets. She is currently based in Sweden, where she is a Master's student in the Critical Studies in the Humanities at Malmö University.
