Emerging acts of Ukrainian music
Tvorchi is a Ukrainian electronic music band from Ternopil formed in 2018 by sound producer Andrew Hutsuliak and vocalist Jeffery Augustus Kenny. Andrew Hutsuliak and Jeffery Kenny get acquainted on the street accidentally when Andriy approached Jeffrey on the street to check his level of English and to talk with him. The acquaintance grew into a collaboration where the Ukrainian became a music producer and the Nigerian a songwriter and vocalist. Both studied at the Faculty of Pharmacy of Ternopil National Medical University.

The Castle is a Ukrainian music group based in Lviv. The question to ask about this band, however, is not ‘where’ are they from, but ‘when’? With a distinctive 60s vibe, their music takes listeners to a place before hip-hop and synthesisers. Following the great tradition of garage rock, their songs are inspired by the music of David Bowie, Pink Floyd, and Miles Davis and are usually made and produced at home.

Disappeared Completely is a Ukrainian indie-pop, trip-hop band. The name means: “We disappear when we do music, so we talk with people from this unknown place. In real life, we are simple students, but when we disappear together, we talk with people through the number of sounds.”
The band had their big release – Sea of Fallen Nests LP in 2017, which was highly praised by music critics and fans alike, and got Disappeared Completely features in several major publications like Rolling Stone Magazine, Man’s Health and others.

DZ’OB is an electroacoustic band from Dnipro, Ukraine striving to combine classical music tradition with contemporary electronic approach. DZ’OB not only synthesizes genres like classics, IDM, techno, dubstep, but also comes up with unique, eclectic sounds that blur the lines within ages, and traditions. The band was founded in 2014 and consists of 5 instruments: oboe, bassoon, violin, cello and electronics.

Ragapop is a Ukrainian experimental electronic band created by Ruslana Khazipova and Hanna Nikitina from the band Dakh Daughters and musician Anton Ocheretyan in late 2018. The band's idea is to combine the things that each member loves into a single blend of performance art and music. In its sound, Ragapop successfully balances theatricality, post-punk aesthetics and lo-fi electronics.

The future-pop group [Ò] combines Ukrainian literary tradition in their lyrics with electronic dance beats. The lyrical voice in their songs is an old soul, trying to survive in the concrete jungle, dealing with mass digitalisation, the ‘fear of missing out’, and modern urban sociopathy.

Krapka;KOMA is an electronic girl group based in Lviv, Ukraine, and its members are Iryna Lobanok and Olena Kovalenko. One of the main features of the band is their multi-instrumentality, as the duo appears on stage singing and playing a variety of instruments such as the electronic drums, keyboards, synths, guitars and trumpet, in order to create a fusion of electronic soundscapes with an acoustic touch. Their musical genre combines features of downtempo, indie electronica, and experimental music. Sometimes jazz elements are included, as both musicians have a musical background in jazz.

They're bringing an eclectic mix of electronic and live sound, using samplers, flute, violin, drums and guitars. Lyrics are in English, Ukrainian and Lithuanian. Their first LP Shuma was acknowledged as one of the best albums of 2016 in Ukraine. 2019 consisted of various tours to support their album Ulitakis.
