History of the 20th Century in European Media

The Ukrainian Institute conducted a monitoring monitoring of European media on key events of the 20th century that have an impact on Ukraine's role in global processes.

The moods, accents, and tone of coverage of these topics have been analyzed. The monitoring covered European media publications for 2018–2019, including 8 British and 7 German, French, and Polish media in each case. 

The monitoring results make it possible to identify manipulations or gaps in the understanding of historical memory in the media of the selected countries to take them into account in enhancing the visibility and recognition of Ukraine in the international arena. It is also possible to further develop tools for influencing public opinion at the European level.
