Ukrainian State Film Agency Ukrainian State Film Agency

Ukrainian State Film Agency (USFA) is a central executive body of the government that implements the state policy on cinematography, including film production, distribution, and promotion of Ukrainian films both in Ukraine and worldwide. The USFA serves as an administrative arm of the state financial support system with the funds provided by the State Budget, and is governed by the existing legislation, including the Law of Ukraine “On State Support to Cinematography in Ukraine” as well as the European Convention on Cinematographic Co-Production and Film Co-Production Treaties concluded between Ukraine and other countries.

Oleksandr Dovzhenko National Centre Oleksandr Dovzhenko National Centre

The Oleksandr Dovzhenko National Centre (Dovzhenko Centre) is the largest Ukrainian film archive, with an extensive collection that includes 7,000 feature films, documentaries, Ukrainian and foreign animated films, and thousands of archival records from the history of Ukrainian cinema. Dovzhenko Centre was launched in 1994 based on the largest Soviet Ukrainian film printing factory (founded in 1948), and today it is one of the most dynamic cultural institutions in Ukraine that can boast a wide international representation in the film industry.

The Central State CinePhotoPhono Archives of Ukraine named after H. Pshenychny is a central archival institution that provides storage of audiovisual documents for the National Archival Fond.

Film Industry Association of Ukraine Film Industry Association of Ukraine

The Film Industry Association of Ukraine is a professional, non-profit public union that represents the interests of the Ukrainian audiovisual content production industry. One of the main tasks of the Association is to create favourable conditions for the Ukrainian film industry, together or in cooperation with public authorities, private entities, charitable foundations, and representatives of international organisations.

Contemporary Ukrainian Cinema Contemporary Ukrainian Cinema

The organisation “Contemporary Ukrainian Cinema” was created to promote contemporary Ukrainian cinema in Ukraine and abroad. The association also finds and supports new names in the domestic film process. To this end, SUK conducts several training programmes, conducts film reviews of contemporary Ukrainian films, and organises meetings of filmmakers with the audience. 

Ukrainian Animation Association Ukrainian Animation Association

UAnimA is a union of Ukrainian animators that was formed in March 2017. The unification of all animation producers and distributors into the Association is an important step for the development of animation in Ukraine and its integration into the European media space.

Ukrainian Film Academy Ukrainian Film Academy

The Ukrainian Film Academy is a Ukrainian association of experts and professionals in the field of cinema and film production. It was founded in 2017 to support and develop modern Ukrainian cinema. Since 2017, the Ukrainian Film Academy has been holding the prestigious “Golden Dzyga Film Awards” annual event.

Arthouse Traffic Arthouse Traffic

Arthouse Traffic is the co-founder and general manager (2010–2014, 2021) of the Odesa International Film Festival. Since 2014, the film company has held the International Film Festival for children and teenagers, Children Kinofest, screenings of which take place throughout Ukraine for an audience of more than 40,000 viewers. 2017 the company founded the annual film festival Kyiv Critics’ Week. It also cooperates with foreign embassies and cultural centres regarding annual festival projects in Ukraine.

Ukrainian Cultural Foundation Ukrainian Cultural Foundation

The Ukrainian Cultural Foundation is a state-owned institution created in 2017 in accordance with the Law of Ukraine. Its aim is to facilitate the development of culture and arts in Ukraine, to provide a favourable environment for the development of the intellectual and spiritual potential of individuals and society, to provide wide access for the citizens to national cultural heritage, to support cultural diversity, and to integrate Ukrainian culture into the world cultural space. The Ukrainian Cultural Foundation supports projects through a competitive selection process. The activities of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation are guided and coordinated by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine.
